Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Lana AI application and the lana.run website operated by Trize Inc.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lana AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not use our service.

2. License to Use

Trize Inc. grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the application strictly in accordance with these Terms. You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.

3. Offline AI and Local Data

Lana AI is designed primarily as a local-first application. You are solely responsible for the content you generate, dictate, or search using the application. Trize Inc. does not have access to your local data, vector embeddings, or dictation audio, and thus cannot be held liable for any loss of local data.

4. Optional Cloud Services

Lana AI offers optional cloud-based features (including Cloud Text-to-Speech, Cloud Rewriting, Deep Internet Research, and Cloud Vector Services) as enhancements or fallbacks for less powerful hardware. When utilizing these cloud services, necessary queries or data are sent to Trize Inc. servers or third-party APIs solely to fulfill your request. You agree not to use these cloud services for any unlawful purposes or to generate illegal content. We reserve the right to throttle or restrict access to any cloud features if we detect abusive or excessive usage. Zero Retention: We do not log, save, or retain any of your transcriptions, voice audio, or text data on our servers.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Lana AI is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Trize Inc., nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the service.
